Educating and serving others is at the heart of everything I do. It’s what drew me to financial
planning. I will never get tired of feeling that I’ve been able to genuinely help our clients. People
put such an immense amount of trust in us, whether they’re looking for guidance to help protect
their life savings, planning for their future, or opening up about other major milestones. The
responsibility that comes with that level of trust keeps me motivated, and being able to connect
someone with the tools to help reach their goals is so rewarding.
I attended Loyola University Maryland and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Psychology with a minor in Environmental & Sustainability Studies. I have my Series 7 and
Series 66, and have been working in the financial planning industry since 2024. As a Financial
Advisor at The Meakem Group, I get to collaborate with the rest of our team to support clients
by preparing for meetings, taking notes on calls, and working directly with clients to answer
questions and execute next steps.
If I weren’t in financial planning, I would probably do something like teach gardening,
sustainability, and nutrition at an elementary school. My first year out of college, I served for a
year with an AmeriCorps program teaching food and nutrition workshops in Camden, NJ. I loved
working directly with the students, and it’s that kind of personal interaction that makes my role
with The Meakem Group so rewarding.
On a Personal Note
Fun fact about me–I’m a dual US/Irish citizen! My father’s parents were born and raised in
Tipperary Co., Ireland, and every year for St. Patrick’s Day, I make my grandma’s Irish Soda
Bread recipe in her honor.
When fresh soda bread isn’t an option, my perfect day starts with a fresh croissant and a good
cup of coffee (best eaten on a park bench while soaking up some sunshine). I’d follow it up with
a bike ride on the Capital Crescent Trail, dinner at a delicious local restaurant, and finish my day
enjoying live music at a small venue.
